Happening at our school!!!!
Activities : Monday- Tuesday- Wednesday- Thursday - Friday- :) Homework is now in effect. :) Please refer to homework page. Tutoring for 1C students will begin next week. It will be from 3:15-4:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays per day assigned. Only students who received a tutoring slip will be in these tutoring session. In order for tutoring to begin on time, I'm asking you pick up your child promptly at 3:15.
Homework habits instill and create future work habits. Please help your child become an independent learner. They need to be responsible to do all homework daily on their own (you may help and check) and turn it in on time. Make sure students return their notebooks to class the next day.
Students are learning more and more! I will write homework instructions on this page as necessary.

Weekly Homework
Students should read 20-25 minutes daily including phonics poster as well as sight words, and practice their addition/subtraction facts for 10 minutes. A homework notebook where they write their words and sentences is a great idea! It helps when checking the homework and students do not lose their papers.
Homework ideas: practice spelling by stomping when a vowel and snap when a consonant, write words on sand.
Phonics/ Spelling words & Sight words:
Monday: Write words 3 times, make sound box. Other activities will be sent to vary activities.
Tuesday: Write sentences with words. (may combine words for one sentence, write more complex sentences, use different parts of speech (adjectives, pronouns, etc.) Underline word being used.
Wednesday: ABC order. (Later will find in dictionary).
Thursday: study words (stomp/clap, spell aloud, write on sand, use flash cards, etc....the world is the limit)
Students need to read EVERYDAY!!!
