Students need to have materials readily available: two ready sharpened pencils form bucket, ISN (interactive student notebooks, one per subject), crayons, bottle of glue/ glue sticks, and scissors(blunt point).

Science Fair Project
I recommended ALL students do a poster size Science board to present in class. Not for the Science Fair. I will be teaching them how to put it together.

Homework
Check homework folder on a daily basis. I will communicate with you via notes. Students should be reading and practicing some math facts on a daily basis. Thank you. Favor de revisar el folder de tarea diariamente.Los estudiantes deben de practicar lectura, y matematicas diariamente. Spelling Words for the week are in students' notebook as well as Phonics page. La hoja de fonetica y matematicas ira en el folder de tarea. Future is now ~ Phonics sheets: students need to code words on homework sheet; include a summary illustration based on story on page, identify and write the story elements (who, where, when, what, & how) where applicable; practice sight words in box. When ABC worksheet, students need to use words and illustration and create a no less than 5 sentences story, using a variety of sentence structures as well as elaboration of details. Plus sentences from phonics lessons. Daily practice of Sight Words from purple LAS notebook. Spelling/ Ortografia Monday: write words 2 times, code words, make sound box. Escribir las palabras 2 veces, dibujar la caja de sonido, identificar sonidos. Tuesday: write each spelling word in a sentence, illustrate sentence. Escribir oraciones variadas con las palabras, ilustrar oraciones. Wednesday:continue with sentences, put words in abc order. Continuar con oraciones, poner palabras en orden alfabetico. Thursday:study for test.Suggestions: trace words on palm, on sand, clap to spelling, make it fun. Estudiar para la prueba.
