Your child will have homework just about everyday. It is designed to reinforce what taught in class on a daily basis. It is very important students complete and return their work when it is due. This in turn will determine the students effort grade on the report card, and it teaches them responsibility.
Just as well, students should read 20-25 minutes daily, and practice their addition/subtraction facts for 10 minutes (once we learn them).
In addition, students will have an opportunity to complete any assignments not completed in class. Please remember these assignments are graded. Therefore, it is crucial for students to complete and return the assignments.

Late work policy. When students turn in incomplete work, or none at all it affects their grade. These work habits are not conducive to good character.
Students are expected to turn in their work within a specific time, usually within same day. Students will lose points for each day their assignments are not turned in on time. Once a week (five school days) has passed from assigned date, the assignment will not be accepted for a grade. Please work with your child to assure they turn in their work on time.
* All subjects notebooks ISN (Interactive Student Notebook) will be sent home for parent signature periodically. Please view work, sign, date and write comments (optional) on page provided at front of notebook.
* Please check their "Brave Bulls" calendar planner for notes. I will write only if necessary.
Thank you so much for your support and care in your child's education. It creates a tremendous partnership when both parents and teacher work towards a single goal: your child's education.

Rewards: verbal praise, special helper.
*Extreme inappropriate or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated (ie. injury to another student, temper tantrums, cursing, inapprorpiate contact) and will result in immediate referral to the school office. These rules and consequences are set up to provide your child with the best possible learning environment. Every time a child disrupts the lessons or activities in class, learning and teaching opportunities are lost. Thank you for your support to our classroom management system. |
